From a question posted on Yahoo answers:

http://s297.photobucket.com/albums/mm236/acerbusXlamia_2008/?action=view¤t=snake.jpg&t=1211002366642

I don't know myself, so I was hoping one of y'all could fill it in because the current list of answers is a bunch of idiots saying "it are poisnous kils it" and such. Cheers!

Yeah well most people are idiots when it comes to understanding the world around them. I've found a good indication of a person's intelligence (in North America) is their reaction to snakes.

Definitely a gopher snake. Rabid rodent eaters, and like to hiss and may strike!
