My wife and I rescued an Adult WC female on 07/04/2007. She had scale rot, mouth rot, Pneumonia, ticks and mites. We nursed her back to health and she began to eat. Hurrray!!!. Then she had a bad shed, retained a eyecap and almost lost her eye. After 3 mo of not eating cause she couldn't see, several consecutive soakings another trip to the vet. and 3 mo of eye drops, she appears to have her eye back. She is hungry, will only eat live Food, but when we introduce a rat she won't commit. She will strike, but not follow through. please help.

I dont know if I can help but I have a large ball python. He was eating rats just fine then he did the same thing. strike and not commit. I tried rugular mice, he eats up 5 per week for now. He seem scared of the rats. This is costly but well worth it.
