question about california and rear fang

was wondering if in california we are allowed to keep rear fanged snakes,i know we can keep fwc but what about like mangrove snakes ect. any help would be appreciated thanks a bunch

Mangroves are legal in California, to the best of my knowledge (Great Valley Serpentarium breeds them).

I'm guessing the only outlawed rear-fangs in Cali are the medically significant ones, i.e. Dispholidus, Thelatornis, Rhabdophis.

I see hognose a lot and boiga from time to time. I have wondered the same thing about where the line is but atleast in sanbernardino county you can keep all the helleri you want!

Only two specifically prohibited by California regulations:Dispholidus and Thelatoris.
