Squared tail litter.

zenzinia May 19, 2008 07:32 AM

2 months ago, I got a litter with some squared tail with full connected pattern. The female that produces them allready produced in 2003 and 2003 2 litters with some squared tails. I kept some and raised them.
Last year, I tried to breed the nicest one but she did not took. This year I tried with the same unrelated male. I chosed him because of his tail that has nearly the same orange color than the 2004 squared tail female.
That female has never been in contact with another male but that one.
I got 11 slugs, 12 live babies and only one has a classic tail. The 11 other all have a more or less squared tail and like in tha previous litter produce by her mom, some pastels with a full connected pattern.
Hope you like as I do.

Those are amazing looking Boas. The base color is so
light on most of them. Did 2003 babies have that light
of base color as well ?Great litter!

The female that produce those was the lightest and cleanest one from the 2003 and 2004 litters. That is why, among the one I raised, breed her was my choice.

Those are awesome. The best ones have patterns (especially the tail) similar to the Col. Motelys but these have the nice colors as well. Great boas!

Yes Kitchi, at start, I wanted to post that pic and ask. But I thought that it was Jeff"s prerogative to do do and did not felt allowed lol
