If the urate was pearly white and soft, everything sounds good. As for the size, i really dont think i have seen a GTP urate any bigger than a quarter. How established is this animal?

Water substrate really breeds bacteria and if the animal wants to go to ground it can't. Is there any other water provided except the water on the bottom? If the animal doesn't drink out of a bowl, do you mist it with water? My chondros love to crawl all over the cage, including the bottom at night. In Indonesia they are found on the roads quite often so I think they like to utilize the bottom area as well. My one Sorong girl usually has large urates since she waits so long to go to the bathroom, but it's never been golf ball size. That's huge! Exercize seems to be a factor in how often they deficate, although my girl is very active and usually crawls around all night into the dawn hours.
