Snake won't eat

cm_reptiles May 19, 2008 12:04 PM

For three weeks my double het snow female won't eat and won't show interest in her usual rat. Shes six or seven feet and I intend on breeding her in nov. The first week she was in shed the 2nd week she didnt want food and this is the thrid week and she won't touch anything. I really hope I can breed her in nov. Shes in the same room with the same snakes shes been with for 2 years and the heat is the same...All the others are eating...

It could be that she thinks it's that time of the season to breed and has just chosen to go off feed. You could try a fresh killed rat to see if that stimulates her feeding response.

I was thinking the same as Matt, I'd put a male with her if she has the size, see what happens....
