building an enclosure

spyro Aug 31, 2003 12:39 PM

Right now I am in the planning stages of my enclosure, and i saw something on line where there was like some kind of spray foam that made shelves and rocky looking ledges and things for waterfalls it was really neat and it didn't say the name and i was wondering if anyone knows what this stuff is called and would it be safe to use?

I don't remember what it's called but you can find that product at gardening stores that carry pond supplies. It's a little expensive, $15-$20 for a can. It's safe enough for Koi so I would think it's safe enough for dragons.

I actually found another site that has a raelly neat way to make ledges and waterfalls that look natural its www.javafx.com/personal/ this guy made the ledges and stuff out of wood then put plaster over them then epoxy to waterproff or something, his enclosure is awesom looking!

I dont know what i'm talking about I saw it on a website and no matter what i search i cant find that website again. but I have to get cracking on my enclosure I want it finished by Christmas I measured my babies last night and one(still nameless) is 11 and a half inches and the other (spyro) is about 10 inches. So they need a bigger home quick, right now they are in a 20 gallon tank. Is an enclosure of 6 feet long and 3 feet deep and 5 or 6 feet high large enough for them? from what i have read it is but i want to be sure i want them to be happy.

they will be happy. I recommend large casters underneath and a ficus tree on each side.
