Retic or Burm?

gothicbambi May 19, 2008 03:35 PM

I've been wanting to get a large snake, I've been keeping snakes for six years, but nothing larger then 12 feet. I've done alot of reading up on the two, I realy want to get a retic, My friend has a retic whom I just love. I've been learning alot from him, and I realy like the looks on a retic better then the burm, dont get me wrong I love the burm too! I just realy want a retic, whats your thoughts on the matter? I've handled a 14 foot female burm, and my friends 17 foot female retic and I still like the retic better. Thanks and let me know ^^ BTW I would be getting a hatchling and keeping her/him in a 90gal for a little while then, upgrading to a custom tank. Thanks and let me know ^^

In my collection I have lots of both. They are both 2 differnt type of snakes. I love them all. Be sure you know what you are getting into no matter what type of snake you get. I also do rescues and picking up a snake that is big and not happy because the owner had to have it and then found out the reality of it. It's not a good situation for the snake and for me since I have to work on taming it. Which is my specialty, taming big snakes. I love the adrenaline rush.
