Thats one hell of a snake!
thanks denise! i remember that pic now from before. the male all hissy in the other pic wasn't he? would you happen to know where this line originates from? thanks again, beautiful animal! here's a pic of a hywy 277 texas bull....

Tricolor Bulls occur mainly in the upper midwest. The one in the photo looks like a Wisconsin Red. I hatched many Bulls from that part of their range over the years, wonderful animals. Tricolor yellows are also nice, but I always viewed tricolor reds as the "Cadillac" of sayi. At a time when people laughed at me for breeding Bullsnakes, the tricolors turned a lot of heads and apparently inspired some folks to get involved with sayi. For what it's worth, the term "tricolor" Bullsnake was coined by yours truly in the early 1980's.

thanks bart, i thought wisconsin was the locality but wasn't entirely sure. here's a older pic of an 03 kankakee you sent me back in the day. he's one of the blackest bulls i've ever seen & that's exactly what i was looking for. thanks for ALL your informative contributions & good luck w/ the new house!!

I bought these from Craig in Daytona in 04,he said his adults were from an area north of Kankakee.
We have found tricolor reds in Kankakee, but the more brilliant ones like the one pictured usually come from areas north of there.
