Low grade MoonGlow or Highend Snow?

decaromorphs May 20, 2008 10:44 PM

After staring at these (2) animals for comparison, I've realized I need a little outside help before I go NUTS..lol. At first glance, I thought this little guy was a "SNOW". But after checking out his tail closely, he's looking like a low grade hypo. I've also had a few others point this out to me. The first two pics are of the obvious MoonGlow. The second two are of the "Snow". The last pic is of the two together. His saddles say snow to me but his tail says moonglow.

Here's pics of my MoonGlow male and some of the "Snow". I also have a pic of both of them together in the same tub.... Any and all thoughts / opinions appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
Ryan DeCaro

but how about a comparison between the Snow and the Ghost? The Ghost is obviously a Hypo and the saddles on the Ghost and the Snow are exactly alike. For that reason and the tail saddles on the Snow, I believe the Snow is actually a Moonglow.

But I have zero experience with Snows or Moonglows, so what do I know?

i have a snow and his saddle go cleanly to the tail... plus i think it sploches out a little before the tail. Count my vote for low grade moonglow

That is a very nice Moonglow...
My vote on the second animal is a very nice snow...
I say that becuase of the saddle shape and structure... Very nice looking animals... I love that moonglow... It is one of the best I have seen.

I agree with you Josh. That animal is a snow. It has blocky saddles not the bow ties as the moonglow shows.

Thanks for all the replies. I was 99.9% he was a snow, but when you have that little bit of doubt on a possible highend animal, it's always good to bring in some opinions!

Jason... Frank Martin called me a few weeks back and thought the same thing about this guy, then when you emailed me, and another few people did, I said "Let's take it to the forum". So thanks for letting me know your thoughts.

Josh.... I thought the same as you regarding the saddles, but his color, crispness & tail it just super clean! Also, thanks for the compliments on the MoonGlow.

Nonetheless....SNOW is it!

Thanks again,
Ryan DeCaro

The saddles give it away.
