The Blue Tegu does not have the same requirements a red or B&W would have. Much easier to care for AND they will do just fine on the SDZ diet(San Diego Zoo diet). That is just gorund turkey and Centrum vitamins. I throw in a pre killed frozen rat now and again but just to fatten him up. I keep frozen rats around anyway for the Boa "Bob" to eat. They are a very unique animal to keep, very intelligent and big without being "too big". Glad you liked the pic!

I have an Arg B&W. He is about 1.5 years old and is almosst 3 feet. He has a good bit of growing left to do. Rather aggressive but still cool. I do hate feeding the mice though. My boyfriend has to do it, I feel too bad. He eats all kind of stuff: fish, turkey, some lean beef, eggs, fruit (esp berries), cottage cheese. Very cool lizards!

He was the one that broke into my cooling tank and ate my male lasst fall. Bummer!
