Is there any way to prevent eggs from sticking to the bottom of my lay box? I use a cool whip container with sphagnum moss. My last two clutches have stuck to the bottom badly and I fear tearing them. One pair was stuck together so I left them attached and they are now in the incubator. thanks..

usually if you spray the bottom area of the eggs and the plastic they are stuck to, they will slowly lift away.... you might have to work with them a lil while.... but it works as for eggs stuck together, just leave them... theres no reason to separate them...

I would suggest a deeper lay box. I find that this only happens when I have a shallow lay box and ever since I switched my laybox to hold more vermiculite, they dont dig all the way to the bottom.
