i have a small collection of bp's and i have them for a few years and must say they are not eating machines but than i know most balls aren't? i have always fed them rats and they were off feed for a bit than started eating again than boom stopped? its so frustrating! one has not eaten in months but i must say has not lost much weight neither. my question is should i try mice instead? or afs rats? opinions please! thanks very much!

Thats just the nature of ball pythons....I've never had one to die from starvation yet, I've heard of one going 28 months without eating. Actually most of mine seem to go off feed around Nov and then start back between April-May and then are great til Nov again.
