Is it a combo or just a cool spider. Very nice looking snake!

That's a one-of-a-kind Spider if I've ever seen one.

It's not a Calico Spider, is it??

Whatever it is, it's enough to cause envy.

Congrats on that one...

Looks like one of those animals that sat in ammonia too long or one of those changing balls that people were calling img's due to sitting in ammonia too long.
Bob clark has one spider like that, lots of people have balls that get those colors.

for one i dont think its a spider!!... it looks like a bumblebee cross with something else, maybe a spider way back when before it got bred to another morph and so on,... just my opinion

Was it born that way -- or did it "become" that way?

Not a Spider, but I had one of those instant change-O-matics that shed off melanin and turn that grey/cream color and add back brown and black pigment as time goes by. The belief is either a vitamin deficiency/skin disease/skin disorder, but they never go back to being typical melanin infused Ball Pythons.

Thanks to you and Amir for the info.

I had hoped that since this girl that I bought 5 years ago for big bucks as a reported import was more likely to be genetic because she hadn't gone to normal by now. She is heading into shed here and doesn't have as much brown or yellow as this poor picture makes it look. She was very stark black and white when I bought her and even shed clear. Although she is more normal looking now she still stands out in person. I now suspect she is just another changer but will still keep trying to breed her just in case.

Why doesnt he/she just tell us?.... Im thinking possible IMG?

BakerReptiles May 24, 2008 12:28 PM

Holy Hermaphrodites Mattman, I didn't know that you're a he/she? You hide the woman side well! I guess thats why you are the home of the RED HOTS!!

I did see someone with a similar spider at The Tampa Show a few months back. He bred it to what he thought was a normal and out popped this wicked looking spider that he wouldn't part with.

May be a sib to this one? There were 4 and a friend of mine has two of them but this is more extreme than the other. He found out that the other two also turned so that's 4 of 4. Will be interesting to see if it stays...
