the one kingsnake and milksnake book i have says these are not in much demand becouse they are plain.
i disagree!!!!!
we have come across two this year that looked the same.
I wish some of my western hognose hatchlings ate as well as these guys do!

They are gorgeous critters, especially when they're young! The red blotches (giving them the nickname, "red adder" tend more toward brown as they mature, but I've seen some very handsome adults.

I think I have the same book you do. "Of the 25 species of milksnakes, this one...is the least colorful and among the least in demand by herpetoculturists." Barron's book on kingsnakes and milksnakes, 1995).
