it is a hybrid so theres no confusion. but I do agree she is beautifull. I'm thinking about crossing her to a bubble gum(blackXyellow X glades)

sorry didn't read deep enough in, I thought it was mexicanXTexas bairdi. They can be found where the ranges overlap.

Hi, still pretty new to the herp hobby and culture. i was wondering what peoples feelings on producing hybrids are? i looked at some pics on the hybrid forum and was blown away with the animals i saw. so with limited knowledge on the subject i think they can make for some amazing snakes like the one above. what are the possible consequences involved with crossing species? my only concern is the extremely non natural hybrids being released into the wild. for some reason it seems to be a way too common way of people dealing with unwanted reptiles(florida in general). not trying to stir any pot just looking for opinions.

thanks

most experts opinion in the past have been against hybrids and many still are, but that seems to be changing to a point. hybrid snakes often seem to have better temperments, better feeding responses, and grow faster(there are always acceptions, of course)! natural blood lines are hard to come by these days, so alot of people that breed them are affraid hybrids will destroy the natural blood lines, but I personally think they make great PETS! heres a mex mex X ruthveni king
