Why is my gray-banded kingsnake sneezing and making a clicking sound when he breathes? His temps are all fine, his appetite is normal, he has not lost weight, his mouth is pink and healthy looking, and he is not getting ready to shed. Any info would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

It sounds to me like he may have a respiratory infection.. It would be worth going to a good herp vet before it progresses.

Also, if you have not done so already, move him as far away from your other animals as possible ASAP!

That's what I feared, but he doesn't show any of the other symptoms of a respiratory infection. He doesn't have his mouth open and there is no mucus. Either way I'm going to call my vet.

You may have cought it early, which is good.. But, if left untreated those symptoms are sure to follow.

Good luck and keep us posted!
