Herp Room

MikeRusso May 24, 2008 08:45 PM

I just finished setting up my new herp room.. My Incubators, Freezer and a few other hatchling racks are on the other side of the room... I am very excited to be done with this in time for hatchling season!!

All of the racks are home made except for the black hatchling rack..

I love the lidded racks. Great for when you decide you want to keep rattlers

Well i will never keep hots.. but, it's you are right it's a good option for those that do..

I actually prefer lidless racks and i do have some.. But, I built the tall sweater box racks with the lids because i am not crafty enought to build them exact enough to go lidless... maybe i could.. Maybe i will try it next time??

Are those rubbermaids the ones that come with the 2 upper shelf/container/storage thingies that hang on the lip of the container,if so they make GREAT hides for the snake, just cut a hole in them and walla, snakehide

Hope you see this, it is so long after your original post. Those racks look great. How are you heating? Using belly heat? What are the racks made of? I love that you stained them, they look much nicer than raw. Is heat tape safe on a wooden rack using the thermostat?

Your Herp room looks fantastic, wish I had the space to do that.
