07 Bull snake & question

Steve_Craig May 25, 2008 11:03 AM

Here's a couple of more pics of my male Bull. Are there certain localities that tend to be yellowish, (colorado, etc.), or can yellow bulls pop up pretty much anywhere in there range? Mine is a locality animal, but I don't know the local, atleast not until I get in contact with the orginial breeder. Thanks in advance.
Steve

I have caught bullsnakes in IA,TX,IL,MO,OK,KS, and bought some from MN and Alberta. I also saw a very yellow DOR in WI. I have seen some yellow specimens throughout, but in my experience, the most reliably yellow ones, especially with the high-contrast black, come from the more NE part of the range (IA,IL,WI). Just my observation...

Thanks for your imput. Hard to say the exact local where mine is from, but your observation was very helpful.
I'd love to see more pics of that yellow bull in your post. That one looks gorgeous. Thanks again. Steve

I will take some fresh pics as soon as he sheds. Here's one of his daughters. Thanks!
