What a day.....

Jeremy Pierce May 25, 2008 10:03 PM

Hello everyone. My day started with finding one of my high color het applegate San Diegos laying a nice fat clutch (9 eggs total, all good). I then began work on the new snake room. I couldn't have picked a more humid and warm day to do it! Called it quits after framing and sheeting and filled the pool for the kids. I took some pics of some of my snakes while the kids were playing. In the mean time my wife was planting flowers. I came from the snake room to find her soaking her foot in the pools with the kids. She had broken her big toe in 3 places! I took her into town to the doctor to get fixed up. The weather started looking rough so we were flying home. The minute we pulled into the drive way I see a good sized funnel about 2-3 miles straight west of our place! I carried my daughter, son, and wife into the house and flew to the basement! Luckily the funnel went back up before it approached any closer. We just ended up with very strong winds and a ton of rain! Anyway, now I'm listening to the thunder and sipping a cold one checking out the pics I took earlier before all hell broke loose. This first pic is of an 07 red bull possible het whiteside. This girl is going to be a screamer!

Best wishes to all and take care.

Jeremy

This is my yellow tail cribo. Getting him to be still was not an option! This was the best I could get.

This is my southern pine male. He was about the only one that cooperated very well.

And far and away the hardest to handle is this little girl, but I wouldn't trade her for the world! Take care all.

Great pics of your snakes and your daughter. You dodged a tornado!? Wow! Scary! Where do you live? Riverside (joke, this week there were a couple of tornadoes out in Riverside,CA)?

I'm just outside of Salina, Kansas. Kansas has had a bunch of them in the last couple of days. We are supposed to see bad weather everyday for the next week! Whats funny is my daughter just dug out the wizard of oz dvd! Irony? Take care.

Thanks Kevin! We are all good! I love that cribo. I really don't care if I ever get a female for him. He is so calm handling that I am perfectly happy with him being just a pet. Take care. You making any more of those sweet striper SD's this year? The one I got from you last year is awesome!

Those two have been hooked up a couple times this year so hopefully there will be some stripers in the bunch. And a higher female ratio as well. Here is the sibling to the one you got, he's shaping up to be a real looker too!
