safe guard dewormer powder

414reptiles May 26, 2008 10:10 AM

I have a rescue leopard gecko that despite eating it doesnt want to gain weight. Im going to do a fecal on her but i was wondering if any one has tried the powder form of safe guard effectively. I also was wondering if any one has tried a once a year type prevenative measure with this. I always considered doing it but I would hate to risk my animals but at the same time i feel they could benefit from it if done correctly. Any opionions?

I have never used panacur on leopard geckos but i have heard that they readily accept it off the tube so i would use it that way if possible. as for using dewormers as a preventative method, i dont think its necessary. If you dose it right then your problem should be gone forever and good husbandry will do the rest.
