Health Question

Hello, I am needing some assistance. My brother in law and wife bought a albino lepord geocko from PetCo for their son on Christmas. I have been over their a couple times because they ask me to look at it. To me he looks really skinny, however they feed him crickets all the time and have mealworms in the cage at all times. His tail looks very frail and I can see the bumps where his hind legs attach. I almost want to say he looks deyhrated as well. However they mist him and he sheds full. I am not sure what else could be the issue. I see other geoko tails and they seem thicker. Can anyone maybe give some advise. Temps I beleive are OK, I have them an infra red gun to use to check.

Thank you

Jeff

Check to see if it's poop is solid and not runny or mushy if the poop it mushy or runny it needs to see the vet it might have a parisite. Does it have an under tank heater if not it needs one. Are they gut loading the crickets if not they need to. Are they dusting the crickets with vitamins and calcium if not they need to. They also need to have a small dish or lid with water in the cage for it to drink from not just misting it. It should also have a small dish or lid of calcium in the cage, it will lick it when it feels it needs more calcium. They should also be feeding it as much as it wants, personally I feed my hatchlings 2 dusted crickets at a time I put 2 in the cage if it eats it I throw in another 2 until it stops eating them that way I know they are getting what they need to be full. As they grow I increase the size of cricket.Hope this helps. GL
