There seem to be new names popping up lately or at least infrequent posters so I thought it would be a good time to re-post the sites that are most recommended. Most all questions can be addressed. Granted, we all still want to hear answers from experienced keepers, but do a little research first. You can search the KS forum to begin with because many of these issues have been addressed. For instance, the eyes closed question, how many crix to feed, etc.
But you can also check out some sites. Don’t just go to the home page, but poke around and you will find a wealth of Cham info – I also suggest you book mark them for further info. I only became a cham owner in May and lost my trio in July so I have very few answers – and a lot of unanswerable questions - but I did months of research before choosing my species and breeder.
ALL of these have info on breeding, husbandry, baby/nursery info, nutrition, species, feeders, health, vets and MUCH more:
Chameleon News
This is a top source of current information compiled and written by “tops in their field.”

AdCham

Chameleon Paradise – a site by one of our forum posters. He has FAQ, do’ and don’ts, cage building
groups.msn.com/ChameleonParadise
Chameleon Journals – go to the FAQ page and read about health, eyes closed, how much to feed, etc.

Reptayls – another site by a fellow KS poster
groups.msn.com/REPTAYLSChameleons
Of course, there are more but these are the most frequently recommended. PLEASE go to them, look around and book mark them.
Another tip for asking questions. If your cham is having problems and you want input be sure to include the species, age, how long you have had it, setup, lighting, temps, humidity, feeding and all the other info that may be needed. You will get a quicker and better response. Think about the question: how many crix do I feed to a veiled? No idea! How old?
One last thing. As great as everyone is here (and they are), if it is a medical problem there is no substitute for a vet visit.

p.s. if you are wondering why I am still here since I don’t currently own chams, I have gotten very connected to many of the regulars here in the past 6 or so months – it feels like years! They were VERY helpful and supportive when I lost my little trio of leaf chams so I still try to “give back” whenever I can. I have other herps and go to some other KS forums, but none compare with this one.
