To my understanding, when a snake brumates in the winter, it's to sleep until theres food around again, the next season.

If they're in captive conditions, what benefits do brumating have? They would not need to sleep because we provide constant food for them no?

If anyone can shed some light on this topic it'd be much appreciated.
