I've never seen this in mine, but I've read of other people experiencing it. Just taking a guess here, but it sounds like lack of D3. I've read that tegu's get the "shakes" when they are lacking UVB light or Vitamin D3 suppliment.

I've heard the same thing before, supposedly it marks the the onset of MBD (metabolic bone disease). Is he getting enough UVB?

I have seen the same thing in Iguanas as well. With them it was early MBD. If that's the case with Amigo, it's totally reversible/correctable at this point. Your enclosure looks great, but now that I think about it, it seemed awful tall. Does the little guy have any access to UVB either from a lamp or from direct sunlight? Is he getting any calcium/D3 supplements? Not sure where you live, but it's amazing what a few hours a week in the direct sunlight can do for a lizard's health (if it's not too cold out) and it's no big deal to construct an outdoor pen out of 2 x 4's and 1/4" wire mesh or even just a large rubbermaid. Good luck!

Amigo is doing fine today, I think we are guilty of wnting to hold him and love him too much!!! He spent all morning basking, then ate 27 calcium dusted superworms, and has been basking all afternoon, and no sign of the shakes today at all. Another good thing is that I live in Daytona beach, FL so natural sunlight is abundant.....won't make the same mistakes again, thanks guys, this is always a learning experience.
