Normal #1 has a nice "Black Pastel" pattern going on, above average pattern. Did either of the parents have such a pattern? I would keep Normal #1,

black pastel male was put to her for about an hour at the start of the season. they didnt lock up, or at least i didnt see it and they were not together when i took him out and replaced him with the pastel male. eggs from the black pastel are cooking now.

Could it be possible that you have a mixed clutch . . . Normal #1 from your black pastel male and the pastels from your pastel male?
