I haven't purchased one, but I know you can get them at any decent feed and animal supply. Do you know if there are any in your area? If not, any equestrian centers/clubs. They would certainly know.
Why have you given up on the cage building idea? If you have just basic woood working experience it would be easy to put together something far superior than a FEED TROUGH to house Diego!!! I would be glad to offer any advice I could. I enjoy cage building and am currently planning a tiered corner unit to house our 3 (and counting) corn snakes. (It has to go in the corner since our 2 Tegus take up a whole wall. We are already planning a move in order to find a house with a reptile room.)

I don't know where you live but in Wisconsin you can get them at farm supply stores and larger feed mills. Check your yellow pages to find the store closest to you.

Tractor Supply, Atwoods, COOP stores. If it is for outside it won't need to be perfect. Try farm sales, auctions. Any of the local feed and seed. Ace Hardware...
