First eggs for us this year

peeperskeeper May 27, 2008 10:13 PM

Sara just laid her first three eggs of the year form 3:00 until 10:42. She was first last year also. With the drought in the southeast we have gotten a three day fake rain system going over half the pen and that has made all the turtle more active in all respects.
Even after all the babies last year it is still exciting for me ever year.
So the incubator is back in action. Just though I would share

Congrats! Yeah, this drought is ridiculous!

I named one of my very first captive produced box turtles "Sara". It was named after the "Starship" song from the 80's, hahaha. "Sara, Sara, nooooo time is a goooooood time for goodbyyyyyyeeeee".
