me this? What is the longest amount of time you have seen it take for newborn BCI to shed? I have had several litters now and just like clockwork they have shed on day 9-12. I have a litter right now that 8 shed on day 9 and 10 and the other 11 have yet to shed and today is day 15. I wonder if it has to do with which ovary they came from. What I mean by that is the first group was from one ovary and the rest from the other? I would think it would have no effect but who knows? Please share if you have had lots of litters and seen a pattern or any other useful info. Thanks guys! I can't post the 'post shed pics' until they do.

I hqev had them go almost a month before they shed, also depended on how much yolk they had. If they came out normal looking, they shed quick, fi they came out with lots of yolk compared to the rest, those usually shed later.

I had a Hog Island go 6 months without shedding in '05, it ate and had no issues and shed out fine when it finally decided to. The next to that was about 6 weeks.
