Purchased an iguana cage with lots of extras (4 heat lamps with bulbs, thermometers, hydrometers, rocks, branches, power strip, heater) for $100.

Then I went to work replacing the lid (too many open holes where my snake could escape) and painting it.

After several coats of paint, inside and out, screen, a new lid, polyurethane on the inside, and a week for the fumes to clear out the cage is finally ready.

I'm currently working on a hide box and water dish combo that will hopefully be too heavy for him to flip over.
The cage is 72x48x26 and has 30 windows and the tenant is a 6'6" WC tame Texas Rat.
