Blaze Goini

Tony D May 28, 2008 12:51 PM

Anyone else working with or outcrossing these into other high red stock?

Pics are of Blaze hets from an outcross to Brandon Osborne hi-red stock.

Not working with those but it looks like I have 3 gravid females. One was paired with this "blotched" male

that I suspect has the "blaze" trait somewhere in his lineage. (he was a gift)
so I'm curious what the offspring will look like from that.
My other male who as an adult has more color than most blaze I've seen,is a bit more striped/patternless

and produces babies that should have a great deal of red.

BTW
Looks like your Currituck male did his job on at least one female (13 eggs this a.m.) and possibly 3 (2 from Currituck also). We'll see..I bet they produce some nice offspring, huh?

...I was in "goini" territory this past weekend but obviously didn't turn up any kings. Was a bit too far north for most of the time where I snapped a pic of this girl

and when I did get down to the right areas I did see this nice fella when scouting some spots for future trips...

Maybe next time...

Thanks. I bet I could have found a fresh shed skin from that edb. His diamonds were like velvet! A beauty for any area.
Caught a glimpse of him on the side of the road while we were standing around discussing the night's plans.

Wow!..haha!,....I'll bet that got your blood flowing again, after just casually chatting and seeing that beauty sitting there!

I would also agree on the fact that it looks like it just wiggled out of a fresh shed,....talk about nice contrasty colors!

Nice, goini, field pics, and news on the Curritucks. Look forward to seeing you in Daytona.

mark,
is that your first string camera back in action or your bench warmer? I love the shots of your goini ( especially the 1st big male) and the EDB pose. that snake looks t-h-i-c-k.

Thanks Dave. I did get my better camera fixed (never drop it on the extended lens) for the field shots this past weekend. Still, it's a point and shoot and there's a lot of room for improvement by the user.

Wow Mark that EDB pic is very nice... just to catch a glance of it and manage to snag such a good shot... very well done. Looks like you had a good weekend man!

I did not breed the Blaze to other goini but I did cross the Blaze (hyperethristic) into a Peanut Butter Florida king this year.

With the Peanut Butter and its surprising genetics, who knows what the Blaze phase combined with PB will do.

Brandon, how is your sulfur and white phase brooks production looking this year.

Brandon Osborne May 29, 2008 09:09 AM

>>Brandon, how is your sulfur and white phase brooks production looking this year.

Well Tony, my female sulfur died during cooling, but the male is on loan with Zenny. Hopefully he does well and has lots of babies. His color is so intense.

The whites are finally courting after 2 months of being paired together. I've been trying to feed my girls every 3-4 days as much as they will eat. Needless to say, I am cleaning cages almost every day.

BTW, all of my hondurans are gravid and early as compaired to their normal production schedule.

I hope everything is going well for you this year and I really like that holdback goini. Maybe we will see more of those this year as well, but it's not looking good.

Tony,

1st nice hets (esp. the last one pictured)

I'll be working on such a project... my male is slow going but MAY go next season...

my female held a nice amount of color and the male is pretty orange so i think they'll produce some really nice hets (eventually)
