Roaches

ryuman1 May 28, 2008 03:06 PM

I would really like to get roaches. BUT, I live in Florida. Commercialy available roaches aren't to be shipped to Florida because the invasive species stuff and I'd rather not deal with the permit crap. So I was looking for similar native roaches and have an idea of taking wild roaches. I am 98% certain these are surinam roaches: bugguide.net/node/view/16867. I would keep these for some time to quarantine them before feeding but I believe they will breed well. Any objections?

It's too bad that irresponsible people ruin it for everyone.

Those roaches look fine, and will probably work just fine, but of course as you said quarantine them and also do some test feedings of some sort, if possible.
