Lystrophis pre-lay shed

Royreptile May 28, 2008 10:58 PM

Hello,
I've not posted on this forum before, but I've recently acquired a pair of Lystrophis pulcher and it seems my female has just had her pre-lay shed.
I was hoping that one of you might be able to give me an average time between the pre-lay shed and actual oviposition? I suspect it's somewhere between seven and fourteen days, but I'm not entirely sure. If someone could help me out I'd be very appreciative.

Get a lay box in there! Usually my females drop their clutches the same day as the shed, or the next-rarely longer.

All right, thank you both very much!
I already have a nesting box in there with some moistened substrate and she has been spending a fair amount of time in there. I suspect I will have eggs rather soon!
Thanks again for the information. I will post some photographs of my animals when I can.
