Some updated pics of the Sharp Snows DUW

kblumenthal May 29, 2008 08:49 AM

Finally!! I have been trying over the past couple months to take some indoor shots, but I just was not happy with the way the pictures were coming out. Since we had nice weather on Memorial Day, I took them outside for some natural lighting.

First up is "Whitesnake" and he is almost 15 months old now. His purple/lavender tail turned white around 8 months of age, and his body has turned buttery yellow.

Next up is "Snow White" and she is 11 months old. Her tail has turned to a purple/lavender color and her body is still an off-white/faint yellow color. Maybe she is just taking longer to change into the colors of the male, or maybe there are different "shades" of Sharp snows like there are of Sharp albinos (this is purely a hypothesis - time will tell).

Here are some comparison shots:

Thanks for checking them out!

Nice! Wouldn't it be neat if they turned out like the retics-a yellow and white phase and a purple phase?!!! The male is awesome, I love the tail!
