eggs of female dragon

dociledragons08 May 29, 2008 02:54 PM

I had my female just lay 24 eggs but 5 of them were duds. It looked like a full egg w/o the outer shell.

I give them greens daily and dusted crickets twice daily. (going to roaches) Wwhat could cause that i'm thinking she needs rest time. as i din't seprate the male after the last clutch was liad. I use zoo med 10.0 and temp is good, 105 to 80 degrees. BTW what do you guys think of Fluker's Repta Sun 5.0 UVB.?

what do you mean the eggs didnt have the outter shell? ive had some eggs come out pretty yellow looking and they hatched. could be a lack of calcium in the female.

stick with the zoo med 10.0. it produces more UVB than the flukers 5.0. higher the number, better the bulb and it travels a further distance.
5.0=10inches down
10.0= 20 inches down

Be sure you are using a calcium with no phosphorus. My opinion is that Rep-Cal is the best choice. You should be dusting every live meal except one that you dust with a multivitamin.

I use Rep-Cal phosphorus-Free (the pink one) but the experiation date is This month. do they realy expire.? I dust live food 50/50 ratio (calcium and multivitamin). Maybe I should do 2 to 1 ratio. calcium being the 2. O' and i use onlyu rep-cal on multivitamin as well.

I believe the proper ratio is
6 days - calcium
1 day - multivitamin
correct me if I am wrong?
