update on my eastern box turtle pen

nyrich44 May 30, 2008 09:43 AM

Here are some photos of my box turtle pen. I have made a few changes since the last photo's. I am still trying out some things and plan on adding more. One question I have is for when I feed them can anyone suggest an idea on how to do it. I have been putting it on a paper plate or just on the rock that is covered with grass in the center by the water but with 11 turtles in a pen its kinda hard for them all to fit on the plate or around that rock. Is there something else I should try and use and should I place more than 1 dish down. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just feed them on the rock...forget the paper plate and put the food directly on the rock. That will probably be better for them anyway because it will help keep there beaks and claws from getting overgrown.
