P. ruthveni

I just thought I'd post some updated pictures of the P. ruthveni I received on donation from Dave Boyle last October. He has lived the past school year in my classroom and the kids love him. I also kept mice and gerbils in there to illustrate the entire food chain process, and students would always ask to give him a mouse or gerbil. Needless to say, he's grown!

Now (in his temporary summer home)

Hi Chance,

wow, he looks good. I am glad he is doing well for you, and I hope he has become a good ambassador for his species and for all wild animals. I know I have really enjoyed seeing the pictures you have posted of the kids holding him.

It's all thanks to you Dave. And yes, I'd say he has made a great ambassador to his species. Every time I have a student who seems leery of handling him, they warm to the idea when I mention how few there are left in the wild.
