A Rainy day in Chi-Town.

MikesMonitors May 30, 2008 11:38 AM

We have some good storms moving through and my Monitors are loving it!
After I sprayed them down this morning the all came out and have been very active ever since.
God I love the rainy days!

Looks like one egg is going south on me, I'll have to settle for 4 at this point.

I took some new photos of my Monitors.

My Male

My female.

A 40lb hollow log!

This beauty "Y" splits at the top and os hollow all the way through!

You can't see the top in these photos.

Thanks for looking!

Mike, great buncha shots. I like that hollow log. Do they use it at all?

Thanks!
I found that log and another at least 150lbs to 200lbs, which I saving for a special enclosure for some special critters.

They have checked it out, however only my female can get into it.

Hey Mike,
Great pics. I had a trio of peachies a few years ago and just found them so shy and reclusive. You seem to have a different experience with them.

MikesMonitors May 30, 2008 02:49 PM

Thanks Mike.
All of mine eat from the tongs and my big 1.1 pair will crawl right up your arm.
Not shy or reculcive at all.
