question with breeding

rachface May 30, 2008 11:55 AM

I'm soon getting a male lemon pastel $50 het pied. If I bred him to a normal female, what would I possibly get?
Some normals, some lemon pastels, some lemon pastel hets, and possibly one het pied or so?

Sorry. I meant 50% not $50.

This breeding would give each egg a 50% chance of being a pastel and 50% chance of being a normal. IF your pastel is het for pied it would also give each egg a 50% chance of being het for pied, but you will not know what is het and what isn't. If your pastel is not het then it could not produce any hets. I would get a het pied female and try to prove him out to be het for pied or not.
