I really think picking a crisp patterned Leopard mixed with the Orangetail hypo was the way to go. Having a tough time keeping Chris from bouncing off the walls!

I bet, just was just e-mailing with Chris he sounded into it. The animals look smoking!

Those guys are ridiculous. I can't believe how nicely they turned out. The stripes, the boldness, THE ORANGETAIL, that litter couldn't have been any nicer for you. I know it was long awaited, but well worth the wait, wouldn't you say? Congrats to the Gilbert clan.
This is fantastic. Congrats to you, Chris, and of course Your wife and Chris's mom.
What type of boas are they?
The male is a Sonoran Leopard. An '05 produced and acquired from Hans Winner, originator of the morph. Leopards are a recessive color and pattern mutation of Sonoran boas.
The female is an Orangetail Hypo, the Orangetail is a bloodline of Hypo boas known to hold strong patterns when combined with pattern mutations.
The resulting babies are thus Hypo het Leopard and Het Leopards. Patterns as seen are a combined factor coming from the Leopard and from the bold pattern of the Hypo.
Hope this helps.
