I found this little male this morning while checking out a new herpin' spot in Brunswick Cty. Va.
can you take a pcture of the bottom of the turtle cause by looking at it from here it looks like a female.
Sorry,can't take another pic,I didn't keep him.I'm sure it's a male because,the plastron was obviously concave.His eyes weren't as red as I typically see tho. Jeff

Plus the eyes of male turtles will change in color over the course of the year, or depending on the health of the turtle. And young males will have brownish eyes until they become sexually active. Tess
That makes alot of sense because the one pictured wasn't as large as he appears in the pic.Although he has adult colors he was fairly small. Thanks! Jeff
