I had an opportunity to visit with Mr. Spears, most of you know that he transferred to El Paso.I think he misses Brewster Co but the transfer was in the best interest of his family.
In the conversation he let me know that they are adding 2 more wardens to Brewster Co, 1 of them Female and 2 new wardens to Terrel Co. I think, starting June 1st. More bang for the buck. Lets try to get off on the right foot with these guys, there is no second chance at a first impression, don't forget that they didn't make the laws but it is their job to enforce them. How they feel about us as a group may have some bearing on how they do that job.
FYI it is hot and dry in S. Brewster Co., there have been a few showers around but spotty. A Study Butte resident told me he has gotten 6/10 since Sept.
