I got an adult blue tegu on last tuesday. He has only eaten about two adult mice and some snails and a whole hardboiled egg minus the yolk. He ate the mice right when I got him. The guy said he did not feed him for five days before shipping because he did not want the lizard to poop in the bag. I have tried offering him some live mice be he wont even go for them. Does this sound normal. This guy is really tame he does not bite and he will let you hold him for a while with out tring to get away. Please let me know how often you feed your tegu and what you feed him and how many. I also have tried turkey. He will not eat anything out of his cage. Please let me know if this is noral or what should I try attached is a pic of him be fore I got him. Thanksd in advance for any info.
