Female Pseustes

She's still really grey but I think she'll yellow up as time goes on. Currently she's taking Chick legs. The one male is on Batryl at the time being for a minor RI that was not improving with heat and humidity, The last male has yet to feed but just shed yesterday and is full of attitude I'm sure he'll feed in no time.

Hi Nate!
Try to reduce humidity, I always have better result this way with RI.
Take care.

Reduce it, to what, he's running at 65-80% humidity right now? Is this specific to Pseustes? I personally have never had RI in my collection except for one rescued BCI, most folks I've spoken to say bump it up including my very competent vet. Then again he is on batryl now, weight is 29g's and is being administered 3cc of 4.5 dilution everyday. Fully hydrated 4 hrs before injection. Let me know your thoughts Justin.

Hi Nate.
I don't like to use medication for herps at first sign of something wrong but, it's me... I'm not a Vet.
If this snake was mine, I'll go at the lower range of your 65-80% humidity and bump temperature. In fact I would try to raise temp to the higher of it's optimum temperature, with a hot basking spot(120F, even a little higher). I'll try this for a couple days and if it doesn't work, then i'll go with the Dr. recommendation.

I used this technic with good succes in colubrids, boas and monitors a couple times, but like i told you, i'm not the expert.

You probably already know, Ri are a bactery in the lung, generally cause by inadequate husbandry (low temp and high humidity), stress, dirty enclosure, ...
Take care, good luck and let us know how it recover.

We're on the same page Justin, his temps were bumped to 110 basking, 90 ambient and 80 cool. With the increase in heat the humidity went down some. He was showing no improvement after 4 days so I went to the vet.
