blue spot timor monitors

OKC_Exotics May 31, 2008 10:57 PM

I have been thinking of getting a breeding pair of blue spot timor monitors but can't find much about their care and temperament online. Can anyone tell me a little about them? Temps, attitude, housing, breeding etc? Thanks.

Blue spot timors, varanus auffenbergi, come from roti island, south of timor. They are very pretty, but they are not that much fun to keep. They are very shy and you almost never see them. If you are looking for something to hold and play with, then forget about it. Their care is no different from any other monitor. Tyler.
