Diff albino strains?

bytheshore1 Jun 01, 2008 05:07 AM

are there more strains than just the Kahl and sharp lines available? I want to purchase an albino and would like to breed sooner or later. But some albinos advertised dont give u that info of which strain. Dont want to get a pair that are incompatible. Thanks guys.

It depends on your definition of "albino". If you include caramel albino, the various tyrosinase positive albinos, and everything else with "albino" in the name, then there are a lot of incompatible albinos. If you are looking for the whitest possible snake, then the Sharp and Kahl albinos are the contenders. If a seller doesn't know whether his snake is Kahl or Sharp strain, I'd buy somewhere else. Good luck.

As far as I know, coral albinos are Kahl albinos that have been line bred for pinkness.
