scalesnshells Aug 31, 2003 10:56 PM

alright guys i got a question- can you supplement vit d3 enough so that you do not have to give lizards uvb lighting, all of them, some of them, none? has anyone ever tried it? what were the results. electric bill does get expensive when you keep enough! so if there is any way to not use uvb plz let me know. thanks

What sort are we talking about? Some have been raised quite successfully without UVB and some just don't do well.

well do you know the ones that can and cant get supplemented instead? like monitors, skinks, frilled dragons, plated lizards, i mean if you have kind of a list of ones that will and ones that wont work with supplements...that would be nice. or a way to find out without killing them or giving them a deficiancy.
thanks so much
kody
