Finally, three years later I produced a good cluch of Thayeri eggs. In 2006 and 2007 I had a total of 4 cluches and all were infertile. This year 2 out of 3 have lain good eggs.
First cluch this year, my 2001 thayeri produced 3 good eggs out of 12, didn't look great, but was happy to get 3 of the 12 fertile .
Second cluch (2004 female) 7 for 7.
Im very pleased.
I don't know what the outcome of my 2003 thayeri will be, she doesn't look like she's carrying a fertile cluch of eggs, I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

Congrats on the eggs. What makes you think the last female isn't carrying fertile eggs? Does she look and feel gravid?

Hi Vichris,

She doesn't look as big as she should be, but she as some size to her. I just have that feeling of infertility with her. I'll just have to wait and see, she's not do for about another week. Her pre-shed was 5/26, but she allready starting to nest in her nest box, and is getting very active, in and out of her nest box.
I don't have time now, but I'll get a picture posted of her later.

Here are some Pictures of 3rd female, What do you think? Does she look gravid? She looks bigger in the pictures then she is.

Well its had to tell from the pics but her low 1/3 is extended. It doesn't look like eggs have dropped to her vent yet, but I can see what looks to be a couple of eggs. Have you palpated her? One of my snakes, Mildred looked like that one when gravid. She never looked as big as my others.

Yes, about a week ago and she felt kind of soft. I just checked her again tonight and felt seven small lumps about the size of a quail eggs. Hope their fertile. I'll keep you posted, she should be laying in the next few days.

She started laying this morning, 8 eggs so far, all infertile, she still has 1-2 more inside her.

Thanks Aubrey, I know you have a pair with the same coloration, a very nice looking pair. I'm also sorry about your infertile cluches that I read about.

back when i bred them i had one female that always looked like that.she had 6 good eggs 3 years in a row.

This one as had 2 infertile cluches the last two years, so they a always say, THIRD TIME A CHARM!!!!!
