Can anyone direct me to a box turtle rescue in the Dallas-Fort Worth area? I really would like to adopt a turtle or two to give a good home, but cannot find any good resources on if there are any turtle rescues around me.

The Gulf Coast Turtle and Tortoise Society would be a good one to try. I believe that they are located in Southeast Texas. Google them, they have a great website.

Well, no luck so far. I tried both (and many more) of the rescue places you both suggested and neither has boxies. I guess I'll keep looking: It will give me more time to work on an enclosure!
If anyone hears of someone needing a home for their (preferably Eastern) box turtle, let me know. Thanks, Curtis.
