What is a good substrate for a Jungle Carpet Python and what should the humidity be.

I keep a large # of snakes and use newspaper for 2 reasons:

1- Easy to clean
2- GOD forbid I acquire a new snake with mites, newspaper makes them easy to spot and easy to treat.

My new acquistions are all treated as if they have parasites whether I see them or not. They are housed on a seperate floor on the opposite end of the house as my collection and kept quarantined for 3 months, however, my peace of mind is priceless

If this is not a concern, when I first started keeping Jungles, I used cypress mulch with the humidity around 50-60%. Try not to spot clean, and freshen the mulch often (it dries out quickly).

Hope this helps.
